Lions Club Zenne & Zoniën is a local service club founded in 1988 in the municipalities of Beersel and Sint-Genesius-Rode, Belgium, and part of the worldwide Lions Clubs International network. Its members, who are bound by the motto We Serve, raise funds and provide financial support to local social causes. Activities include wine fairs and soup sales that raise money for local organisations, winter shoes for children in need in Beersel and Sint-Genesius-Rode, donations of equipment to a local elderly care home, sponsorship of an electric rickshaw bike for local care centres, and support for families of seriously ill children, a sports and activity family for people with disabilities, and Ukrainian families in the region. The club also provides occasional support outside Belgium after major disasters such as earthquakes and floods. Membership is open to people willing to serve the community without seeking personal financial gain.
