LPF Gyvenimo vartai is a charity and support foundation founded in Kaunas, Lithuania, in March 2004 by Giedrius Žukas, a former dependent person. The foundation works mainly on addiction prevention and support for people recovering from dependency. Its services include a day centre for people affected by addiction, counselling and referral, and a rehabilitation community in Kruonio seniūnija, Kaišiadorys district. It also runs social businesses that create work opportunities for people returning to employment, including the Auksinės rankos woodworking workshops and the Jūsų ūkvedys building maintenance service. Other activities include a food distribution programme, employment support for unemployed residents of Žaliakalnis in Kaunas, family support services, and community cultural projects. The foundation is funded through project grants from Lithuanian ministries, the EU, municipal programmes and donations, and is seeking partners and volunteers to support its prevention work.
