Međimurski potrošač is an independent, non-governmental, non-party and non-profit association of citizens in Međimurje County, Croatia. Founded in 2003 as a branch of the Društvo za zaštitu potrošača Hrvatske Zagreb, it works to protect and promote consumer rights and to establish independent public oversight of service and product providers in the county. Its activities include consumer advice in person and by phone, legal assistance and help with complaints and disputes, educational lectures, seminars and workshops, brochures and leaflets, financial literacy programmes for schoolchildren, market research and surveys, and participation in consumer policy consultations. The association cooperates with similar organisations in Croatia and abroad and works with the European Consumer Centre Croatia. Advice is offered at offices in Čakovec, Prelog and Mursko Središće, with additional telephone advice for residents of Varaždin and Koprivnica-Križevci counties.
