Par Dzīvot

Founded in 2021, Par Dzīvot is a non-profit association based in Rīga, Latvia working on health, mental health.

Par Dzīvot is a Latvian association of oncology patients and their relatives, founded as a peer support group in 2018 and officially registered in 2021. It holds public-benefit (sabiedrības labuma) organisation status, granted in 2022. The association provides free psychological, informational and practical support to cancer patients, carers and families across Latvia. Its activities include support groups, a 24/7 online chat, consultations, art therapy, lectures and workshops, a beauty bank of wigs and caps, and advocacy on patient rights with state and regional bodies. It is funded mainly by donations, merchandise sales, grants and sponsors, and relies on volunteers.
