Peldēt droši

Founded in 2018, Peldēt droši is a non-profit association based in Gauja, Latvia working on health, education, children & youth.

Peldēt droši is a Latvian association, registered in 2018 and granted public benefit organisation status in 2021. It works to prevent drowning by raising public awareness of swimming as a life-saving skill and of water safety. Its activities include swimming lessons for children and young people, water safety sessions, summer camps, accredited courses for teachers on teaching swimming, and advocacy towards decision-makers on drowning prevention measures. It works across Latvia, with activity in cities such as Riga, Liepāja, Valmiera, Dobele, Jelgava and Sigulda. Funding comes partly from individual donations, and donations to the association can be declared for personal income tax relief.
