Pulmonālās Hipertensijas Biedrība

Founded in 2011, Pulmonālās Hipertensijas Biedrība is a non-profit association based in Salaspils, Latvia working on health, mental health, disability.

Pulmonālās Hipertensijas Biedrība (Pulmonary Hypertension Association, PHA Latvia) is a Latvian patient association founded in 2011. It brings together people with pulmonary hypertension, their relatives and supporters, and specialists. The association works to improve patients' quality of life and rights, particularly for people with disabilities. Its activities include advocacy with state institutions, consultations, patient education, psycho-emotional wellbeing workshops, walks, festivals, and research on the social and emotional effects of the disease. It is funded mainly by membership fees, donations and project grants, including Latvian state and EU funds. It operates across Latvia and is a member of PHA Europe.
