Quinoa

Quinoa is a Belgian non-profit association (asbl) and NGO working in global citizenship education (ECMS) and popular education. It runs awareness-raising workshops, training and school activities in Belgium, aimed at young people and educators, on global inequalities, development, the environment, gender and migration. It also organises international solidarity volunteer projects in partnership with local associations in Latin America, West Africa, South and South-East Asia, and its work includes a documentation centre, mobilisations and advocacy on climate, food sovereignty and anti-racism. Founded as Chantiers Jeunes, which became Quinoa, it is headquartered in Brussels. The organisation is governed by a general assembly, a board of administrators and a permanent team, and states that it works to promote social transformation and alternatives to dominant economic models.
