The Refugee Council of Lithuania is a refugee-led non-profit organisation based in Lithuania. It works in education, advocacy and entrepreneurship to give refugees a voice in decision-making and to support their integration and economic participation. Established in 2021 after initial meetings sponsored by UNHCR, it aims for more than half of its management and staff to be refugees. Its work includes entrepreneurship programmes, language and digital skills training, psychosocial and information services, intercultural activities, volunteer matching through the VolEver app, and advocacy on refugee rights. It works mainly with refugees, including many Ukrainian refugees, across Lithuania, with activities in cities such as Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Alytus, and partners with government bodies, NGOs and businesses.
