Rikolto

Rikolto is an international non-profit organisation working to transform food systems so that sustainable, healthy and affordable food is accessible to everyone. It works with farmer organisations, businesses, researchers, governments and other actors in the food chain across 18 countries, supporting fair incomes for family farmers, sustainable production and access to good food. Its Belgian entity is based in Leuven and runs campaigns, school programmes and public fundraising. The organisation was formerly known as Vredeseilanden (founded 1980) and adopted the name Rikolto in 2017.
