The Savez društava multiple skleroze Hrvatske (SDMSH) is Croatia's national, non-partisan, non-governmental and non-profit umbrella organisation for people with multiple sclerosis. It brings together 21 county member associations and operates across the whole of the Republic of Croatia. Its work covers information, counselling, psychosocial support, education, personal assistance services, peer support groups, networking and advocacy for the rights, quality of life and social inclusion of people with MS, their families and carers. Services include the SOS MS telephone line, a neurologist consultation service, MS Caffe support groups, a Forum for young people with MS, online individual counselling, free legal assistance on employment and social rights, and a national awareness campaign. The organisation also publishes educational materials and a podcast, runs an MS platform for members and collaborates with decision-makers in Croatia and Europe to promote inclusive policies. Donations are used directly for support programmes, and donations from companies can be tax-deductible up to 2% of prior-year revenue.
