Biedrība Tuvu is a Latvian charity association founded in 2013 that helps low-income families and lonely people in Latvia, and runs youth camps and events. Its work is centred in the Zemgale region, near Jelgava, and it is funded by donations, grants and the profits of its social enterprise. Its main activities include a social assistance centre that distributes food, clothing and household goods, a network of charity shops selling donated items, and an annual home renovation programme for families in crisis, carried out with volunteers from Latvia and Germany. The association also organises youth evenings and summer camps, the Princess School for girls aged 9 to 13, and the Brankas community area. Its social enterprises, SIA Mājas TUVU and the cultural venue Branku Brančotava, generate income for its projects. The association holds public-benefit status in Latvia, which allows tax relief for donors.
