Udruga medijatora jugoistočne Europe

Founded in 2016, Udruga medijatora jugoistočne Europe is a non-profit association based in Zagreb, Croatia working on peace & conflict, justice & legal aid.

The Association of Mediators of South-East Europe (UMJIE, also known as IAMSEE) was founded in 2016 in Zagreb. It brings together mediators from South-East Europe and works to prevent and resolve conflicts and disputes across social spheres, promoting mediation as an out-of-court method of dispute resolution. Its activities include mediation procedures, training in mediation and conflict-resolution skills, awareness-raising about peaceful dispute settlement, and programmes of general benefit for citizens in Croatia and beyond. Through its Centre for Peaceful Resolution of Cross-Border Disputes, it offers mediation for cross-border disputes. The association also organises conferences and joint meetings with regional partners, including the Regional Cooperation Council, on improving access to justice through mediation.
