It was founded on 15 April 1984 as an association of people with disability in the Koprivnica area and renamed in 1997. Its work covers social, medical, educational and professional rehabilitation, personal assistance and transport services, advocacy for disability rights and accessible infrastructure, peer support and information on rights, and cultural, sports and recreational activities. Its members include people with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries and amputations. The association is based at Hercegovačka 1 in Koprivnica and operates in Koprivnica-Križevci County. It is funded through national, county and municipal grants, corporate donations and membership fees.
