About
Vidawasi is a non-governmental organisation based in Lima, Peru working on health, children & youth.
Vidawasi is a non-profit social organisation in Peru that promotes and runs child health and cultural initiatives. It built the Ciudadela de Salud Infantil Virgen de Vidawasi, which it describes as the first children's health citadel in Latin America, in Yanahuara, Urubamba province, Cusco region. Its aim is to decentralise specialised paediatric care, since most such treatment in Peru is concentrated in Lima. It offers medical services, including outpatient care, cancer prevention and preventive health programmes, along with family support, and runs a Lima office for administration and contact.
