About
Founded in 1998, Zeleni forum is a non-profit network based in Zagreb, Croatia working on environment & climate, nature & wildlife conservation.
Zeleni forum is a network of non-governmental environmental organisations in the Republic of Croatia. It aims to influence the creation and implementation of environmental and nature protection policies and to provide a lasting platform for cooperation among citizen associations and other civil society environmental actors. Its methods include public advocacy, joint campaigns and projects, public information and education, and building the capacity of member associations. The network operates through an annual Assembly, a Coordination body elected for three-year terms, and a Secretariat, which since 2019 has been hosted by the association Biom in Zagreb. Members are expected to follow a code of conduct based on tolerance, non-violence, transparency and sustainable development. The network also takes part in national committees, working groups and the Council for the Development of Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
