The project, led by CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône) under the Ministry of Energy Transition, involves feasibility studies for a new run-of-river facility with approximately 40 MW capacity and expected annual generation of around 140 GWh. The estimated investment is €330 million. A public consultation phase was conducted from December 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024, overseen by four guarantors appointed by the National Commission for Public Debate. The French government is expected to make a decision on project continuation by mid-2024, with a target commissioning date of 2033 if approved.
