Dommelstroom (DEC Dommelstroom) is a cooperative renewable energy producer operating a hydroelectric power plant on the Dommel river near Sint-Michielsgestel. The facility features an Archimedean screw design and includes fish-safe passages with 13 fish ladders. The cooperative has over 600 members who are certificate holders and co-owners. In addition to hydropower, the organization operates solar rooftop and solar field projects. Annual output is approximately 600,000 kWh from hydropower, with combined output from solar installations. The cooperative sells generated energy to licensed energy suppliers, primarily Greenchoice, and distributes annual returns to certificate holders based on performance.
