Founded in 2022, eFORT is a ngo headquartered in European Union specializing in Solar, Wind, Energy Storage.
eFORT is a Horizon Europe research project launched in September 2022 and running through August 2026 with €7.997 million in EU funding. The project aims to modernize European electricity networks and reduce blackouts through a holistic approach covering the entire grid value chain. eFORT develops technologies for identifying, preventing, and mitigating vulnerabilities and threats at cyber and physical layers. Key solutions include an interoperable intelligent platform for grid characterization, digital twins of interconnected grids, intrusion detection systems, blockchain for grid resiliency, AI-based control algorithms, edge computing, and IoT integration. The consortium validates innovations across four demonstration sites in Spain, Italy, Ukraine, and other locations, with focus on renewable energy integration, cybersecurity, and grid resilience.
