About

Founded in 2020, SolaQua is a ngo headquartered in European Union specializing in Solar.

SolaQua is an EU-funded project that works to create a competitive solar energy market in Europe and beyond by facilitating the market uptake of solar irrigation in the farming sector. The project brings together 11 solar irrigation stakeholders from 7 Euro-Mediterranean countries, including universities, research institutions, irrigation associations, public authorities, and agricultural organizations. SolaQua serves as a direct successor to previous EU projects MALOWATEN and RESFARM. The consortium focuses on developing Key Enable Materials and Tools (KEMTs) to address technical, economic, and legal barriers to solar irrigation adoption. The project targets multiple stakeholder groups including farmers, SMEs, the general public, investors, and public administrators, promoting accessible and affordable solar irrigation solutions for Europe and beyond.
