About
Founded in 2019, EnergiCimes is a cooperative headquartered in France specializing in Solar.
EnergiCimes is a citizen cooperative collective founded in 2019 that develops renewable electricity production in the Chambéry basin in Savoie, France. It finances, installs and maintains rooftop solar photovoltaic plants on the roofs of public bodies, companies and associations, and sells the electricity to the local grid. The collective is run entirely by volunteers and organised on cooperative principles, with each member holding one vote regardless of share holdings. Its capital comes from members' social shares. Its installed capacity is around 900 kWc across roughly twelve plants. It also runs group purchases of self-consumption solar kits and is recognised as an Entreprise Solidaire d'Utilité Sociale (ESUS).
