Greenhash is a subsidiary brand of Enerhash Technologies Zrt., a Hungarian technology company specializing in sustainable data center operations. The company operates data centers in Sweden and New Zealand powered by 100% renewable energy sources, primarily hydroelectric installations. Greenhash utilizes excess capacity from renewable power plants for Bitcoin mining and high-performance computing, serving as grid stabilizers by modulating energy consumption based on grid demand. The company has installed approximately 2 MW of data center capacity alongside a 7 MW hydroelectric facility in New Zealand, with additional 3 MW capacity in Boden, Sweden. The business model converts surplus renewable energy into computational capacity sold at competitive rates. Greenhash has received several billion Hungarian forints in private investment and planned to list on the Budapest Stock Exchange XTEND market by end of 2024.
