About

Founded in 2018, Redawn is a private headquartered in France specializing in Hydro.

Redawn is a three-year project (completed Summer 2021) funded by ERDF through the Interreg Atlantic Area programme. It aims to improve energy efficiency in water networks by installing innovative micro-hydropower technology that recovers wasted energy in existing pipe networks. The project involves pilot demonstrations across multiple countries, including micro hydropower installations in drinking water networks (St Pair sur Mer, France), irrigation systems (Palma del Río, Spain), tungsten mine reservoirs (Hídrica do Seixoso, Portugal), and agro-tourism facilities (Moleiro da Costa Má, Portugal). Redawn has developed design guidelines, interactive tools, and an online course on micro hydro energy recovery. The technology targets the estimated 260 million euro market for MHP energy recovery in water supply networks.
