Société Hydro-Électrique du Midi (SHEM) is a subsidiary of ENGIE and operates as a major hydroelectric producer in the Grand Southwest region of France. The company manages 57 production facilities and 12 large dams distributed across the Pyrenees, Lot, and Dordogne rivers. With total installed capacity of 785 MW, SHEM generates approximately 1,850 GWh of renewable electricity annually, equivalent to the annual consumption of one million inhabitants.
