Climate KIC

Founded in 2010, Climate KIC is a non-profit association based in Amsterdam, Netherlands working on environment & climate, education, nature & wildlife conservation.

Climate KIC is an independent, non-profit climate innovation agency and community operating across Europe and globally. It works with governments, cities, businesses, financial institutions, civil society organisations and innovation partners to mobilise finance, test business models and drive systems change for climate action. Its activities include place-based transformation projects, climate entrepreneurship support, educational courses and the Climate KIC Academy. Founded in 2010 as one of the first Knowledge and Innovation Communities of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology, it became a financially and operationally independent public benefit organisation in 2025. Its Community includes universities, research institutions, cities, NGOs, SMEs and start-ups. The organisation is registered in the Netherlands, with headquarters in Amsterdam and co-location centres in several European cities.
