Stichting Do Yourself a Favour is a welfare foundation based in Amsterdam-Oost, run as a collaboration between local entrepreneurs and residents. It works to reduce poverty, isolation and exclusion, and to strengthen self-reliance among vulnerable people. Its activities include transport for frail elderly people to doctors, day care and hospitals, a meal delivery service during the Coronavirus crisis, school transport for refugee children, and humanitarian aid convoys to Ukraine that bring refugees back to the Netherlands. It also runs day-activity and re-integration places and plans a respite home for carers. The foundation relies on volunteers, donations and partnerships with local welfare organisations.
