Stichting Dutch Government Pride
Netherlands
About
Founded in 2014, Dutch Government Pride is a non-profit network based in Netherlands working on lgbtq+, employment & skills.
Stichting Dutch Government Pride is the umbrella organisation of LHBTIQ networks within the Dutch national government. Founded in August 2014 with the support of the then Minister of Education, Culture and Science, it works to increase the visibility, emancipation and social acceptance of LGBTIQ employees in Dutch government. It connects the networks of individual ministries and agencies, organises events such as the government boat in the Amsterdam Pride Canal Parade, holds network meetings on topics such as discrimination and working or living abroad as an LGBTIQ person, and supports inclusive workplace policy, including the Verklaring van Amsterdam and participation in Workplace Pride's Global Benchmark. The foundation works only with volunteers, who are all civil servants, and the board members receive no remuneration. It operates across the Netherlands, mainly in the national government, and is recognised as a public-benefit institution (ANBI).
