Foundation Ard el Amal, also known as Stichting Land of Hope, is a Dutch foundation based in Delft that works to improve the wellbeing of children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Luxor region of Egypt. Its work centres on a day centre offering a safe place for care, specialist therapies such as speech and physiotherapy, and education tailored to each child. It also provides home-based support for children with multiple disabilities who cannot attend the centre, and home visits to families, including parents of children with Down syndrome. The foundation runs an farm and tree-growing activities on its site in Luxor, which help fund its work. Its income comes from donations, crowdfunding, book sales and fundraising partnerships. The foundation is recognised by the Dutch tax authorities as a public-benefit institution (ANBI), and it has been working towards setting up a registered NGO in Egypt.
