Vledder, Netherlands
About
Founded in 2009, Friends of Animals is a grant-making foundation based in Vledder, Netherlands working on animal welfare.
Friends of Animals is a Dutch foundation founded in March 2009 and run entirely by volunteers. It supports animal shelters in Spain, mainly in Andalusia, Asturias and Extremadura, to improve conditions for stray and abandoned dogs and cats. Its work includes financial and material aid, building and renovating shelters, sponsorship of individual animals, food and castration projects, and transports of goods. It does not take animals to the Netherlands and works without commercial interests, with any funds going directly to the shelters. The foundation holds ANBI status, so donations are tax-deductible in the Netherlands.
