Habitat for Humanity Nederland is an independent, fundraising non-profit foundation founded in 1993 and part of Habitat for Humanity International. It works to give families a decent, safe and affordable home as a basis for a better future. Its work covers housing construction and renovation, clean water and toilets, secure land and property rights, and emergency shelter and reconstruction after disasters. Projects are carried out with local partners and communities in countries including Uganda, Zambia, Nepal, Guatemala and Cambodia. Habitat Nederland also trains community water managers and young people in construction skills, and it invites individuals and companies to take part through donations, build trips, sponsorship and legacies. It is recognised as an ANBI public-benefit organisation and an Erkend Goed Doel under the CBF scheme.
