Homeopaten zonder Grenzen (HzG) is a Dutch foundation founded in 1991 and recognised as a charity by the Dutch tax authorities (ANBI). It is primarily an education organisation that trains local health workers, including doctors, nurses, midwives and pharmacists, in homeopathy in areas where healthcare is scarce. Its projects are carried out by volunteer homeopaths and doctors and run in cooperation with local health authorities. HzG has worked in countries including Ghana, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Benin, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Kenya, Gambia, Uganda, Malawi and Botswana. It describes itself as independent of political, religious and ideological currents, and aims to improve access to healthcare for people in poverty. The organisation works on a train-the-trainer model so local practitioners can teach others, and it provides clinics and supervision where needed. HzG is funded by donations, legacies and corporate sponsorship.
