Kids in Crisis Foundation

Founded in 2014, Kids in Crisis Foundation is a non-governmental organisation based in Zwolle, Netherlands working on mental health, children & youth.

Kids in Crisis Foundation is a Dutch foundation, founded in 2014 by Claudy Regterschot, that provides trauma support to children in Nigeria. Its work includes individual counselling, group sessions including play and art therapy, and trauma training for teachers, care workers, pastors and parents. The foundation also trains schools, children's homes, churches and communities to create safe learning and living environments for traumatised children. Its Nigerian NGO, Kids in Crisis Foundation Nigeria, was established in 2019 and operates from an office in Jos, Plateau State, where a team of psychologists, play therapists, trainers and trauma counsellors works. The foundation is recognised by the Dutch tax authorities as an ANBI public-benefit organisation.
