Prayer Station Nederland

Founded in 1999, Prayer Station Nederland is a faith-based organisation based in Alkmaar, Netherlands working on religion & faith, community development.

Stichting Prayer Station Nederland is a faith-based charity that organises street prayer and evangelism in the Netherlands. Teams of Christians from various denominations pray with passers-by in town centres, and the organisation provides free training days that combine teaching on prayer evangelism with practical outreach. It works with churches and youth groups to start new local Prayer Station teams and runs specialised training for Youth Alpha teams. Prayer Station Nederland describes itself as interdenominational and reports activity in more than 30 locations across the country, including Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Groningen and Eindhoven. It began in Amsterdam in 1999 as an initiative of Lammy Dekkers with a group of young people, and became a foundation (stichting) in 2024. The organisation is funded by private gifts and holds ANBI status, so donations are tax-deductible in the Netherlands. Volunteers take part in the teams and a support group prays for the outreach from behind the scenes.
