Stichting iDb

Stichting iDb is a non-governmental organisation based in Den Haag, Netherlands working on human rights, justice & legal aid, community development.

Stichting iDb is the anti-discrimination facility (antidiscriminatievoorziening) for 26 municipalities in the regions Haaglanden and Hollands Midden in the Netherlands. It signals, prevents and combats discrimination and unequal treatment. Its services are free of charge and include advice and support to individuals and organisations, reporting and registration of complaints, and handling of complaints under the General Equal Treatment Act (AWGB). It also advises and informs local governments, justice-chain partners, civil society organisations and others about the nature and scale of discrimination and possible interventions. It publishes annual regional monitors and signalling reports, provides training, information and advice, and runs programmes that promote inclusion. The organisation carries out the tasks arising from the Wet Gemeentelijke Antidiscriminatievoorzieningen and works with local and regional partners. It is also part of the national reporting platform Discriminatie.nl.
