Stichting Kairos is a social shelter (maatschappelijke opvang) in Dirksland on Goeree-Overflakkee, the Netherlands, for vulnerable young adults aged 18 to 35. It offers intensive 24/7 supervision, crisis shelter and time-out places, and works with a trajectory plan, solution-focused methods and structured daily routines to help residents build a foundation for independent living. Its work includes a day-care and shelter-service offer for people without a current place in the system, and it works with partners in the regional care chain, including winter shelter arrangements with the Leger des Heils in Spijkenisse. The foundation was started in 2022 by local residents and care professionals and is supported by donors, funds and local businesses. The separate Stichting vrienden van Kairos, founded in 2023, holds ANBI status and raises donations for the work.
