About
Stichting Vuurdragers is a charity based in Amersfoort, Netherlands working on mental health.
Stichting Vuurdragers is a Dutch foundation based in Amersfoort that provides nature-oriented recovery support to vulnerable adults. Using bushcraft, awareness-building and peer-to-peer connection, it aims to help participants reconnect with themselves, process loss, build self-reliance and reduce social isolation and stigma. Participants are typically referred by care and shelter organisations, and many live in supported housing or face vulnerable situations in their neighbourhood. The foundation was founded by Odeke van Laar and Djoca Reijntjes, who together have more than fifteen years of experience working with vulnerable adults, with an approach based on outreach and non-judgemental support.
