Stichting Wereldhonden

Founded in 2017, Stichting Wereldhonden is a charity based in Netherlands working on animal welfare.

Stichting Wereldhonden is a Dutch non-profit foundation, run entirely by volunteers, that works to give street dogs in other countries a dignified life. It rescues dogs from streets and shelters in partner countries, including Greece, Italy, Spain, Romania, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia. It has them medically checked and socialised, and places them with screened adopters in the Netherlands through foster families. The foundation also runs sterilisation projects with partner shelters, supports local awareness campaigns, and collects material aid such as blankets, beds and food for shelters abroad. Supporters can sponsor a dog from a distance or donate. The foundation was established in 2017 and holds ANBI status.
