t Eldershoes

Founded in 2003, t Eldershoes is a foundation based in Hoensbroek, Netherlands.

t Eldershoes is a meeting centre (ontmoetingscentrum) in Hoensbroek, Limburg, run by a Dutch foundation founded in 2003 and opened in 2004. It provides a low-threshold drop-in house for veterans, military personnel and uniformed public servants such as firefighters, police and customs officers, and their partners and families. Visitors can meet peers, and the centre acts as an intermediary, connecting people with professional care where needed, including the national veterans care system (LZV). It also organises commemorations, activities and informational work to build understanding of veterans' experiences. The foundation has no profit motive and is funded through subsidies, gifts and donations. It holds ANBI status, so donations can be tax-deductible in the Netherlands. Board members and volunteers receive no remuneration, only expense reimbursement.
