Voedselbank Land van Cuijk

Founded in 2006, Voedselbank Land van Cuijk is a charity based in Cuijk, Netherlands working on poverty & hunger, environment & climate.

Voedselbank Land van Cuijk is a non-profit foundation in the Land van Cuijk region of the Netherlands. It provides free weekly food parcels to people living below the poverty line, including families with children, and works to reduce food waste by redistributing surplus food that would otherwise be thrown away. Food parcels are assembled at a central depot in Rijkevoort and distributed through pick-up points in Boxmeer, Cuijk and Grave, with home delivery used during the COVID-19 period. The foundation works entirely with unpaid volunteers, including its board members, and receives food and financial donations from supermarkets, local businesses, service clubs, schools and private individuals. Its stated aim is to help clients become financially stable within about three years so they no longer need food bank support. The foundation is affiliated with the national network Voedselbanken Nederland and holds ANBI public-benefit status.
