Profiles cover the causes each one works on, the people it works for, its named programmes, how it is funded, its legal form and charity registration, and the partners and networks it belongs to.

How we collect it

The data is compiled by our dedicated crawler, which reads each organisation's own published information and re-verifies it on a rolling basis. Causes, beneficiaries and funding sources are normalized into comparable fields, so the sector can be filtered rather than read one website at a time. Profiles with limited public information are kept out of search engines until they meet our data quality bar.
