About
Founded in 2021, Laurelin is a ngo headquartered in European Union specializing in Hydrogen.
Laurelin is a 48-month Horizon 2020-funded research initiative aimed at accelerating renewable methanol production through CO2 conversion. The project develops new-generation catalyst systems adapted to advanced reaction processes including microwave, magnetic induction, and non-thermal plasma heating. By capturing industrial CO2 emissions and converting them to methanol fuel, Laurelin targets carbon emission reductions of 65-95% depending on feedstock and process. The consortium comprises research organizations, higher education institutions, and SMEs from four EU countries, the United Kingdom, and Japan, collaborating on catalyst development, process optimization, and training materials for sustainable transport decarbonization.
