BEST Foundation

BEST Foundation is a non-governmental organisation based in Sofia, Bulgaria working on education, children & youth.

BEST Foundation is a non-profit non-governmental organisation based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Formerly known as the Bulgarian Forensics League (BFL), it was co-founded by Fulbright English Teaching Assistants and became a registered non-profit when it adopted the BEST name. It promotes English-language education, critical thinking, civic engagement and creative self-expression among Bulgarian youth. Its main activities are English-language speech and debate tournaments at regional, national and international levels, a Student Leader Program, a Debate Summer Camp, and leadership and coach training. It also hosts the Balkan Voices International Oratory tournament, which brings students from across the Balkans to Bulgaria. The organisation reports reaching more than 1,000 high school students each year and works with coaches, teachers and volunteer judges across Bulgaria.
