EBENTO is a 36-month EU research project under Horizon Europe (2022-2025) comprising 11 partners including IT providers, universities, public institutions, energy service companies, energy cooperatives, and utilities. The project develops an integrated one-stop-shop platform to enhance energy efficiency in residential buildings through Energy Performance Contracting. The platform comprises three modules: Building Performance Contracts and Guarantees (logbook for EPC management), Building Information Modelling (simulation for optimal renovation options), and a citizen interface for energy monitoring and decision-making. The platform is tested in four pilot demonstrators in Valencia, Athens, Tallinn, and Manchester, engaging residential users and various stakeholders including public institutions, cooperatives, and utilities. EBENTO aims to support the EU's climate objectives including the Renovation Wave and European Green Deal, targeting a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 through building energy consumption reduction.
