The European Energy Social Innovation Platform (Eesip) is a dedicated online platform designed to empower and support professionals working in the renewable energy sector with emphasis on social innovation and citizen engagement. The platform serves as a comprehensive point of reference for the renewable energy sector, enabling users to gather information and knowledge, share best practices, exchange new resources, and collaborate on projects. It hosts an extensive library of resources covering topics including photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind, hydro, biomass, biogas, geothermal, energy efficiency, storage, sector coupling, energy communities, cooperatives, crowdfunding, prosumerism, and related areas. The platform was developed as part of the SocialRES project, funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No. 837758, May 2019 - August 2022). It serves researchers, policymakers, citizens, and transition stakeholders seeking to understand and support citizen-led energy initiatives and explore dimensions of energy citizenship across Europe.
