Founded in 2019, LOCOMOTION is a government headquartered in EU specializing in Other.

LOCOMOTION is an EU-funded research project (grant agreement No 821105) that develops an enhanced Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) called WILIAM to help policymakers and stakeholders assess the feasibility, effectiveness, costs, and ramifications of sustainability policy options. Building on existing models developed by the EU-funded MEDEAS project, LOCOMOTION improves upon the state-of-the-art in energy-economy-environment modelling through interdisciplinary research teams across Europe. The project creates several user-friendly tools including a Model Explorer for non-experts, a Model Analyser with graphical interfaces, and a database of scenario projections. It supports EU climate policy, including contributions to international climate negotiations and the 2023 global stock-taking exercise under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
