About

Founded in 2024, ECHO Energy Excellence Hub is a government headquartered in EU specializing in Other.

ECHO is a European Union Horizon Europe programme initiative (Grant Agreement No. 101185725) coordinated by Yildiz Technical University, running from December 2024 to November 2028 with €5 million in EU funding. The project establishes Excellence Hubs—multi-actor innovation spaces in Turkey, Greece, and Portugal that bring together public institutions, researchers, innovators, and citizens to accelerate the energy transition. These hubs serve as focal points for training, experimentation, and co-creation, working with universities, businesses, municipalities, and energy communities at varying maturity levels. ECHO focuses on equipping local ecosystems with tools, networks, and autonomy to shape their own energy futures through dissemination, capacity building, policy engagement, and cross-border learning.
