H2eart for Europe is a European alliance of underground hydrogen storage service operators launched in January 2024. The alliance is committed to accelerating the development and deployment of underground hydrogen storage (UHS) infrastructure across the EU to support the continent's decarbonization objectives. The organization engages with policymakers, conducts fact-based analysis and advocacy, and coordinates efforts among storage operators to secure and scale hydrogen storage projects. Members represent storage operators from seven EU member states. The alliance focuses on addressing investment barriers, improving regulatory frameworks, and ensuring that hydrogen storage receives strategic priority in Europe's energy transition, including participation in the Projects of Common Interest (PCI) framework.
