Parkwind N.V. is an integrated offshore wind business with over a decade of experience in developing, financing, and operating offshore wind farms. The company originated from Colruyt Group's renewable energy initiatives dating back to 1990, formally established in 2012. Parkwind operates a portfolio of four operational offshore wind farms: Belwind (2010), Northwind (2013), Nobelwind (2015), and Northwester 2 (2020), with combined capacity of 800 MW serving approximately 1 million households. The company is expanding internationally with projects in Germany (Arcadis Ost 1), Ireland (Oriel, Clogherhead), and developments in Norway, Scotland, and Asia. Since July 2023, Parkwind has been wholly owned by JERA Inc., one of the world's largest power generation companies, operating through JERA Nex, its renewable energy subsidiary. The company employs 150 professionals across engineering, technology, finance, and operations, with R&D partnerships focused on reducing infrastructure costs, improving efficiency, and exploring green hydrogen applications.
