Parkwind N.V. is a Belgian offshore wind energy company founded in 2012 with the mission to make wind energy key to a sustainable future. The company develops, finances, and operates offshore wind farms with a focus on making renewable energy available and affordable globally. Parkwind operates an integrated portfolio of four offshore wind farms off the Belgian and German coasts, comprising 225 turbines with approximately 800 MW installed capacity, powering nearly 1 million households. Since April 2024, Parkwind has been wholly owned by JERA, a major Japanese energy company, operating as part of JERA Nex, the renewable energy subsidiary. The company maintains expertise across engineering, technology, finance, operations, and R&D, with 150 employees working on current and future projects in Europe and Asia. Parkwind's roots trace back to 1990 through the Colruyt Group's sustainability initiatives, with the first offshore wind project completed in 2010.
