Founded in 2021, Noordlicht is a co-op headquartered in Sterrebeek, Belgium with approximately 1-10 employees specializing in Solar, Wind, Hydro.

Noordlicht is a cooperative enterprise established to advance the energy transition through citizen participation. The organization develops renewable energy projects including solar panel installations on large roofs, wind energy, hydropower, and electric car-sharing schemes. Operating as a Rescoop (Renewable Energy Cooperative), it adheres to cooperative principles of self-reliance, responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. Members invest as shareholders, volunteers, and project participants, with profits reinvested in socially responsible local initiatives. The cooperative supports sustainable development in the Northern Brussels region and beyond.
