About
Founded in 2016, InCUBE is a ngo headquartered in EU specializing in Solar, Energy Storage, Other.
InCUBE is a Horizon Europe Research & Innovation programme project (grant agreement no. 101069610) focused on accelerating deep building renovation in Europe. The project demonstrates cutting-edge, standardised integrated renovation processes based on industrialisation, innovative renewable energy technologies, digitalisation, and new market entrants. Core innovation pillars include self-renewable energy power production and storage, standardised and lean integrated processes, and upskilling of the construction workforce with emphasis on gender mainstreaming and social inclusion. Three large-scale demonstration sites validate solutions: Van Heemskerckflat in Groningen (deep renovation with BIPV and electrification), Balsas de Ebro Viejo in Zaragoza (88.5% energy reduction, 173 MWh/year renewable production), and Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara in Trento (50% energy reduction, 864 MWh/year renewable production). The project addresses systemic barriers to renovation across the value chain through digital tools for real-time construction monitoring, lifecycle assessment, and resident engagement platforms.
